The only frustration you may find by using GamePass is that you cannot create copies of your install like with the Steam version (Windows locks down the ability to copy the executables and a couple other files in the folder) so you can't have a vanilla install and a modded install alongside one another. Please contact a mod if your post accidentally got stuck in the spam filter!.But probably only after they are fully loaded into the map. Then I would assume you'd be able to right-click your friends profile from the Steam Friends list and choose 'Join game'. Turning this setting off will usually fix the loading or crashing problems.
